Keukenhof is the most beautiful spring park in the world and is open daily from March 23rd until May 14th.
Not only in the Netherlands is Keukenhof beloved, but also abroad. Visitors come from all over the world and travel specifically to Keukenhof to take a look at the sea of colorful flowers. Here, you can admire more than 7 million tulips, hyacinths and daffodils, which give you the ultimate spring feeling.

But how did Keukenhof come about?
Countess Jacoba of Bavaria lived in the early 1400s and got her vegetables and fruits from the Keukenduin for the kitchen of Teylingen Castle. More than 200 years later (in 1641), Keukenhof Castle was built and the estate covered an area of approximately 200 hectares.
In 1949, a group of leading flower bulb growers and exporters had the idea to create an exhibition of spring flowering bulbs on the existing estate. A year later, the Keukenhof spring park was established and immediately attracted 236,000 visitors.
